Barley, Malt, Hops & Beer Union is completing to form a list of participants of the Forum “Current State and Development Trends of the Brewing Industry of the Participating Countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and Raw Materials Base for Malting and Brewing Productions” that will be held in June 17, 2014 in the Ministry of Agriculture (events hall, 7th floor).

Taking into account many requests and passing of a draft bill concerning staged prohibition on PET-container use in its first reading, we’ll negotiate an issue about possibility for introduction of the transition period for the Russian independent brewing companies and including it in the final resolution of the Forum.
It bears reminding that according to the bill from 1st of January till 30th of June 2015 it will be allowed to sell drinks with alcohol content no more than 6% in plastic containers not above 1,5l.
In the second half of 2015 it will be allowed to sell drinks with alcohol content no more than 5% in plastic containers not above 1l. Since the start of 2016 – drinks with alcohol content no more than 4% in plastic containers of 0,5l.
