We’ve already mentioned about a rapid growth of illegal brewing market in our analytical articles (refer to http://barley-malt.ru/?p=13785&lang=en).
It bears noting that information got from Russian brewing companies – members of the Union to the Federal Service for Alcohol Market Regulation and law-enforcement agencies hasn’t been neglected.
The Investigating Committee in the Ulyanovsk region initiated an excise tax-related criminal case against a member of Legislative Assembly from United Russia Party Mikhail Rodionov. So, a sum of unpaid excise taxes of CJSC “Trekhsosensky” was 1,1 billion rub. for 2013.
The Federal Service for Alcohol Market Regulation also confirmed this information.
The Federal Service for Alcohol Market Regulation as well as the Revenue Service compared quantity of sold beer brand “Trekhsosensky” with reported data and came to the conclusion that the owner of the plant Mr. Rodionov understated a profit in order to evade taxes. So, a budget missed near 1,1 billion rub.
Meantime, all beer excise taxes, prior to the entry into force of the excise tax transfer system, go into the regional budget and, if you compare tax revenues of the brewing company “Trekhsosensky” for the preceding year (tax remission is 1,5 billion rub.), Rodionov’s company could pay a double sum of taxes.
What next? Our union answered this question last year in our analytical article: “Criminal cases against brewers. Everything is legal” (refer to http://barley-malt.ru/?p=11360&lang=en).
“We often mentioned the fact of increasing of the shadow beer market in our analytical notes. For obvious reasons transnational brewing companies can’t be accused of tax default. But we can predict what will be happened after studying data of the Federal State Statistics Service by the market regulator”.
So as to appraise the seriousness of the situation do you need plant shutdown and institution of a tax-related criminal case?
But according to the informed source, not all participants drew a conclusion.
According to the mass media, there are many criminal cases. We hope that these examples will be instructive for others.
