Dear participants, organizers and guest of I Mid-Russian Grain Forum and Field Day!
I welcome representatives of the agricultural industry, brewing companies, breeding and seed growing farms, malting barley, rye, wheat, malt and hop producers of the RF, neighboring countries and beyond, representatives of scientific and public institutions on blessing Kursk land.
The Kursk Region is the largest grain and high quality malting barley producer. Near 4 million tons of grain is annually produced in the region. Even in a downturn 2015, Kursk farmers made out with all problems.
The region came second in the Central Federal District and sixth in Russia. The Kursk “loaf” was 3,8 mln.t. of grain. Recent year, agrarians of the region are planning to get over 4 mln.t. of grain, so current acreage was 1 mln.50 thousand ha.
It bears noting that the Kursk Region was chosen twice as a place for holding of the Field Day “Barley, Malt, Hops and Beer in Russia” by many producers of malting barley of the Kursk Region.
I’m sure that Mid-Russian Grain Forum and Field Day organized by Grain Producers’ Union and Barley, Malt, Hops and Beer Union will provide a good base for concluding of mutually beneficial contracts, exchange of experience and strengthening of international cooperation.
I wish all participants, guests and organizers fruitful work and success!
