XXI International Forum BEER-2012 (2012-05-25)

From 16 to 19 May 2012 the XXI International Forum BEER-2012 took place in Sochi. An extensive business program, the international professional contest of beer, raw material, equipment and soft drinks, the festival “Sea of Beer in Sochi” and many other things awaited the participants of the Forum.

The honorary right to open the Forum was given to the Assistant of the Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Agrarian and Food Policy and Environmental Management (Committee, responsible for legislative and technical regulations of production of spirits and alcohol containing products) – the President of the Barley and Malt Union Alexander Mordovin.

On May 16 at the invitation of the Forum organizing committee Alexander Mordovin and the General Director of the BMU Aleksey Rubtsov took part in the conference “Beer and soft drinks. New directions in development of technologies and equipment under conditions of changes in legislative and technical regulations”.

On May 17 at the invitation of the Union of Russian Brewers Alexander Mordovin and Aleksey Rubtsov took part in the round table discussion “Development of brewing industry under the new conditions of legislative and technical regulations”.

During the Forum, the participants have repeatedly expressed the opinion on insufficient and openly weak protection of the interests of the Russian brewing industry that is captured in the limits of legislative and technical innovations that have come into force or are soon-to-be-adopted.

The President of the BMU has told about the need to consolidate opinions and efforts of the “malting barley – beer” production chain participants for the protection of common interests. In the near future A. Mordovin will make an open address to the industry representatives.
