Kraus Sergey Victorovich

CEO of LLC «IREKS»

Education: 

1979-1984 – the Altai Polytechnic Institute named after I.I. Polzunov (Barnaul). Specialty: a process engineer of grain storage and processing. 

1985-1988 – Research degree – the Moscow Technological Food Institute (Moscow), Ph.D. in Technical Sciences (1989) 

2004 – defended Ph.D. thesis 

2008 – academic status of the professor 

Experience, learning and scientific activities: 

During the doctoral degree studies, had a second job in the Istrinsky filial division of All-Russian Scientific and Research Dairy Institute. 

From 1988 a research scientist, a senior research scientist, the department supervisor of All-Russian Scientific and Research Starch Products Institute. During his work, managed the development of projects for food companies in Russia and CIS countries; was twice awarded the medals. Participated in the state agricultural programs and in the international projects with the Federal Study Center for Grain, Potato and Fat (FRG), Grain Process Institute (FRG) etc. Participated in foreign conferences for 10 times (three times with a report). In 1995 – 1996 took management training courses TRANSFORM, the certificate CDG, Cologne, gave lectures on “Grain process technologies”. 

In 1997 by the decision of the German concern IREKS GmbH in Russia, a subsidiary firm LLC “IREKS” for production of baking and confectionary mixtures, additives and modifies has been created. In 1998 Kraus Segey Victorovich was appointed to the position of the CEO – till the present time. He contributed to the establishment and development of the company. 

German Economics Union in the RF approved the project “IREKS” as one of the most successful examples of German investments of the medium-sized business in Russia. In 2008 was awarded the diploma of the Governor of the Moscow Region for fruitful work and great contribution the social and economic development of the Luberetsky district. 

Results of Kraus’s scientific work were mentioned in more than 200 scientific and study guides and 10 innovations. He developed and introduced new methods, consulted experts of the industry, research and project organizations; supervised graduation papers devoted to the grain process technologies and food production; is a member of the Thesis Committee – Technology of handling, processing and keeping of grain crops, bean, fruit and vegetables, viticulture; the Chairman of the State Attestation Commission. 

S.V. Kraus is also the Chairman of the Board of Food Ingredients Producers’ Union, the Vice-President of the Russian Bakers’ Union, a member of the German-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. 

Was awarded the note of acknowledgements and certificates of merit of the Governor of the Moscow Region, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, an award pin ASSAGROS “For contribution and the development of agriculture, a merit badge for “Contribution to the baking industry” from the Russian Union of Flour and Cereal Producers.
