Excursion to Korenevo malting plant in the framework of the III Field Day for the EEC member states (2013-06-19)

In the framework of the III Field Day of Malting, Kvass and Beer Brewing Industry for member states of the Eurasian Economic Commission (www.barley-malt-fieldday.ru/eng) on June 28 the excursion to Korenevo malting plant (http://youtu.be/kPRCgFQsdj8) will take place.

The malting plant was launched on November 22, 2011 in the urban-type settlement Korenevo, Kursk region. It was constructed by the Russian malting company Russky Solod with financing provided by Avangard Bank.

The enterprise is the most modern in Russia, it is provided with technological equipment of the world’s leading manufacturers – Buhler, Schmidt-Seeger, GEA Process Engineering (Germany), Trane, CHIEF (USA). The production capacity of the plant is 130 thousand tons of malt per year. There is also the elevator for storage of 100 thousand tons of barley and malt. The plant has a developed infrastructure: sewage treatment facilities, artesian boreholes, a boiler-house, an energy power station, transformer substations, roads and railways. Up to 80% of consumed by the enterprise electricity is now produced by its own energy power station.

Delivery to the malting plant will be carried out by buses, the travel time from Oboyan to Korenevo is approximately 1.5 h. On the way back the city of Kursk will be the endpoint. Bus departure is scheduled for 16:00, after the banquet. One can get to the malting plant by one’s own car however in relation to the admittance authorization mode one should be registered in the list of participants (it is carried out by the BMBU).
