Federal Alcohol Market Regulatory Service (FS “Rosalkogolregulirovanie”) supports the activities of the Barley, Malt and Beer Union (2013-07-03)

We are glad to inform you that the President of the Barley, Malt and Beer Union (BMBU) A. Mordovin has received an informational letter from FS “Rosalkogolregulirovanie”.

More specifically the letter states:

Dear Alexander Nikolaevich !

Federal Alcohol Market Regulatory Service considered your appeal from May 29, 2013, in the form of the letter from the Government Office of the Russian Federation from June 13 2013 No. П11-27482.

The BMBU President A. Mordovin expresses deep appreciation to the leadership of the FS “Rosalkogolregulirovanie” for appreciation of long-term union activity, informs and reassures the legislative and executive authorities responsible for issues of legislative and technical regulation for alcohol market in the Russian Federation and member states of the Eurasian Economic Commission that by decision-making and activities the BMBU will be guided by well-known three C principles of the Union:

– culture of consumption;

– control of product quality;

– control by the Government.

The BMBU will intensify efforts to attract representatives of the production chain “malting barley – beer” to the Union, it will focus on further strengthening the positions and increasing the share of Russian independent producers of beer and beverage, it will continue work on development of raw materials for beer and food subcomplex of the Russian Federation and on development of export.

The BMBU President A. Mordovin is sure that “the decisions made by the state legislative and executive authorities of the Russian Federation in recent years, are directed and lead to stabilization of the situation, order in the alcohol market, protection of state interest and protection of final consumers rights and health.

The share of Russian independent producers of beer and beverage, despite the overall country’s decline in beer production, has increased from 7% to 27% over the past four years, and it is a reason for pride. The BMBU that has become the industry’s largest and one of the AIC’s largest unions over the past two years will establish the expert and community boards in the near future and it is ready to deepen cooperation with FS “Rosalkogolregulirovanie”.
