1962 – 1996 – Research scientist, Chief of agricultural and land cadastre department in Almaty National Economy Institute. Lev Andreyevich developed and published methods for soil analysis and land cadastre upon which there were conducted soil and land-appraisal works in Kazakhstan, Kirghizia and Uzbekistan. Based on soil quality bonitet points Land Value Taxation was developed and introduced.
From 1997 – to present – The All-Russia Research Institute of Legumes and Groat Crops; Chief of the laboratory of agricultural chemistry and land reclamation; State Taxation Service – agricultural technologies and plant protection department. Lev Andreyevich is a member of the Scientific Council and Dissertation Council with the specialty of geoponics, plant growing and soil science. 5 Candidate’s dissertations and 2 PhD theses were defended with the guidance of Lev Andreyevich.

Published 270 editions like scientific recommendations and guidelines for soil bonitet, land cadastre and land tax, procedure and mapping of truncated soil and its classification, optimization of the plant mineral nutrition, land reclamation, crops cultivation technology etc.
He got 6 patents for inventions: methods for seed treatment, methods of restoring and increasing of soil fertility, methods of preparation of good soil for seed and set soil blocks and plant vessels-containers, methods of soil conservation by growing soilage.
