On behalf of the Union «Barley, Malt, Hops & Beer in Russia» and on my own behalf I wish you all the best wishes for the festive season – Happy New Year 2014 and Merry Christmas.
The outgoing year was rather complex but it became make-or-break year in the history of the native brewing when the members of the Russian independent brewing industry realized their importance, necessity of consolidation for making further successful activities. In spite of the downward beer market dynamics we are increasing production volumes and market share, winning back lost positions. Leading experts of the industry and I are expecting further share growth of the “independent brewers” to 25% by 2015. Malt industry also show perfect growth rates thanks to the introducing of norms for minimal malt use in beer production – 80%. We managed to increase production volumes to 21%. And all the time we kept together, guarding interests of our industry – producers of malting barley, malt and Russian independent brewing sector.

New Year will come soon. We’d like to wish you and your family comfort, peace and confidence in the future. Our future pivots on us and I’m happy that representatives of the industry realized that standing together and carrying on a well-bred dialogue with legislative authorities we can achieve great results and our cooperation is a bright example of this thesis.
