Cooperation Agreement between the Barley and Malt Union and the Union of Russian Brewers and Soft Drinks Producers (2011-09-29)

Оn 28.09.2011 in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Mr. A. Petrikov, State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Agriculture held a ceremony of signing of a Cooperation Agreement between the Barley and Malt Union and the Union of Russian Brewers and Soft Drinks Producers.

In his welcoming speech Mr. Petrikov said:

“On behalf of the Minister of Agriculture and personally Elena Skrynnik I congratulate you on the remarkable event in the life of the brewing industry, the signing of the Cooperation Agreement. The Agreement between the two Unions will create the necessary economic conditions and incentives for the brewing industry with high quality and affordable raw materials produced in Russia. This will also give the opportunity for the revival of domestic hop growing. To achieve this goal we suppose to hold the so-called annual “Field Days”, to conduct research and development, to run joint training activities. Ministry of Agriculture supports the initiative of the Unions on mutual cooperation and is ready to support you in the revival of the domestic production of hops”.
