Results of Barley, Malt, Hops & Beer Union trip to Oktoberfest 2014: a new record – 9 litres! (2014-10-06)

60 representatives of the Union delegations made a trip to Germany from 22^d of September to 3^d of October 2014. Participants took part in the highly topical program. Aims of the travel were: a visit to Bavarian seed farms, participation in the training plant-growing workshop, a visit to the Agricultural Center “Agratek”, Technical University of Munich, German Brewery «Herrnbrau», brewing, baking, hops museums, the Castle Neuschwanstein, thermal springs “Erding” and participation in Oktoberfest in the tent “Löwenbräu” (24^th of September and 1^st of October).

This year a new double record in drinking beer at a draught was set by

a record in the category “Löwenbräu”:

Shishkin Sergey, Rostov on Don, covered the mark 9 litres of beer Löwenbräu-Oktoberfest with strength 6,1%!

a record in the category “Löwenbräu NA beer”:

Vasilyev Alexander, Orenburg, covered the mark 7 litres of non-alcoholic beer Löwenbräu-Oktoberfest!

By tradition of the Union all winners will get the opportunity of a free trip to Oktoberfest 2015!

Every year many representatives of the Union take part in Oktoberfest and every time it becomes one of the most important events. It is worth noting that from year to year the number of participants is increasing and Oktoberfest becomes an annual tradition.

Besides, the Russian delegation didn’t go unnoticed for other participants of the tent “Löwenbräu”.Everybody with a storm of applause sang a Russian song “Kalinka”.

It is interesting to note that in spite of a considerable amount of beer used by Russian participants, nobody suffered from hangover effect and headache that usually appear after drinks of transnational companies.

By opinion of many participants:

“If I drink three litres of “Baltika”, I’ll “die” next day and after German beer I’m as sound as a bell!” So, Bavarian Beer Purity Law of 1516 was introduced for a definite reason… Malt, hops, water and yeast provide a high quality to German beer.
