Barley, Malt, Hops & Beer Union worked out a unified position with the Ministry of Finance of the RF concerning excise duty policy in the brewing industry.
We believe it necessary to fix the excise rate for beer, not exceeding inflation rate in 2016-2018.
So, we address to the Government of the RF to approve the following proposal:
Beer with normative (standard) alcohol by volume of 0,5 % inc.: 0 rub. per litre (2016), 0 rub. per litre (2017), 0 rub. per litre (2018).
Beer with normative (standard) alcohol by volume exceeding 0,5 % up to 8,6 % inc.; beer-based beverages: 20 rub. per litre (2016), 21 rub. per litre (2017), 22 rub. per litre (2018).
Beer with normative (standard) alcohol by volume exceeding 8,6 % : 37 rub. per litre (2016), 39 rub. per litre (2017), 41 rub. per litre (2018).
Besides, we consider it possible to freeze an excise tax for strong alcohol in order to minimize illegal alcohol market.
A corresponding letter to the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the RF A.G. Khloponin was sent in May 22, 2015.
