The Ministry of Agriculture has drafted the Federal Law “On amendments to the Federal Law “On seed growing” and other legislative acts of the Russian Federation”. According to the Director of the Department of Plant-Growing, Chemicalization and Plant Protection Petr Chekmarev the draft law is being approved by the relevant federal executive bodies. After ratification of the draft law and acceptance of appropriate conclusions it will be submitted to the Government of the Russian Federation within the legal terms.
We are pleased to inform you that the text of the draft law includes the proposed by our Union and necessary for implementation of the “Beijing Program” possibility to create independent seed-testing stations which will have the right to organize variety trials and to include varieties in the State Register of Selection Achievements.
