The point has been put – PET: to execute it is impossible. To pardon. (2013-03-28)

According to the information received by the BMBU, RF First Deputy Prime Minister I. Shuvalov has put a full point in the “case” of the Technical Regulation on alcohol products.

The question on the use of PET containers by bottling beer products is excluded from the provisions of the Technical Regulation on alcohol products and it will be raised when discussing the Technical Regulation on packing (see http://barley-malt.ru/?p=2164). In our opinion, this will give the beer industry about 1-2 years for formation of the final position of the Eurasian Economic Commission countries regarding PET containers.

The question on use of malt, unmalted grain and sugar-containing component by brewing was decided to approve in the ratio of 50:50, that is to change the entered into force on 01.01.2013 on the territory of the Russian Federation Provision of the Federal Law No.218 dated 18.07.2011, under which beginning with 01.01.2013 the ratio should be 80:20 – see http://barley-malt.ru/?p=3279&lang=en.

According to our estimates, after the intergovernmental agreement and approval of the Technical Regulation by the Eurasian Economic Commission the date of entry into force of the new Technical Regulation will likely be 01.01.2014.
