At the beverage exhibition Brau Beviale 2012 our Union announced a program of developing independent brewing business in The Russian Federation “our barley – our malt – our beer”. This program was supported by the appeal of the Governor of the Voronezh Region A. Gordeev to the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation D. Medvedev.

According to the letter of the Ministry of Agriculture of the RF № ИШ-21-19/8059 in response to an enquiry from Economic Development Ministry and the letter № П11-32132 of the Central Office of the Government of the Russian Federation, Barley, Malt and Beer Union was instructed to examine and produce reasons for inserting amendments in Federal law from 29.12.2006 № 264 – ФЗ so that producers of brewing products owning barley, malt and hops manufacture could be granted the status “Agricultural commodity producer”.
May we remind that wine-makers of the Russian Federation have already been awarded this status http://barley-malt.ru/?p=4812, got the opportunity to use budget funds and particular tax regulations.
