Membership advantages for agricultural companies

The Union was an initiator of creation of the raw supply system for malt and brewing companies focused on Russian high quality raw materials and also a co-organizer of the key malting barley agro-projects. Thanks to the activities of the Union, required malting barley varieties were included in the State Register for Selection Achievements. Also rates for hop-yard establishing and handling have been increased and limits for using sugar-containing and unmalted material in brewing production have been applied in the ratio of  (80%:20%:2%).

1. The Union is an originator of:

– the development of the analytical target program “Production of high quality brewing raw materials over a period of 2013-2020” that will give an opportunity to get grants for the purchase of malting barley seeds, chemization and plant protection agents;

– Russian-Chinese cooperation – “Beijing Program” focused on production and supply of the Russian grain, including malting barley to PRC companies;

– strengthening dialogue with regional and federal authorities, including the Ministry of Agriculture of the RF and the Federal Service “Rosalcholoregulation”;

2. The Union is an interaction and dialogue platform for companies of the production chain “malting barley – beer” with regional and federal authorities:

– awarding of Certificates of Merit by the FS “Rosalcoholregulation”, the Ministry of Agriculture of the RF, relevant committees, the State Duma and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation;

– an organizer of All-Russian brewing competition “ROSGLAVPIVO” – the Best Russian Beer;

– an organizer of the International Field Day “Barley, Malt, Hops and Beer of Russia”,;

– an organizer of the International scientific and research conference “Barley, Malt, Hops and Beer of Russia”. The conference is supported by Technical Universities of Munich and Berlin;

– an organizer of the competition “the Best Russian malting barley producer”,;

– a co-organizer of Russia’s trade fair for beverage production BevialeMoscow,

The Union affords the following privileges to members:

Free participation in business events of the Union,

Free participation in “Beer get-together” – a quarterly private tasting and entertainment event for members, partners and friends of Barley, Malt, Hops and Beer Union held in the Moscow restaurant “Beer house” G&M Brauhaus (Moscow, Novoslobodskaya 16a).  

Also the Union organizes trips to German Field Days DLG, Green Week, BrauBeviale, Drinktec, Oktoberfest etc.

3. The Union represents interests of his members in the federal legislative and executive authorities.

President of the Union A. Mordovin is:

– a member of the Council for agricultural and environmental issues of the Federation Committee  of the RF, a leader of the sector “Viticulture development, alcohol market regulation”;

– a member of the Public Council of the Ministry of Agriculture of the RF;

– a Russian representative of the Scientific and research center for high quality food and brewing products  “Weihenstephan” of the Munich Technical University;

– and also a member of the Expert Council of the State Duma Committee for Agrarian Issues, the Expert Council of the Federal Anti-monopoly Service, “Rosalcoholregulation”, Working group for logistic support of the agro-food market, a member of the Council of “Gossortcommission” of the Ministry of Agriculture of the RF.

4. Partners of the Union are the most prestigious foreign and Russian scientific institutions:

– Moscow State Food University;

– Vavilov Institute of General Genetics;

– Federal research center “Vavilov all-Russian Institute of Plant Genetic Resources” of the Russian Academy of Science;

– Munich Technical University;

– Berlin Technical University;

5. Global international companies – over 500 raw material and equipment producers for malting barley, malt and hops industry are members of the Union;

6. The Union represents interests of his members in the federal legislative and executive authorities via regional representatives of the Central Black Earth region, Ryazan, Smolensk, Bryansk, Tula, Vladimir, Yaroslavl regions, the Republics of Mordovia, Tatarstan, Chuvashia and Altai Krai.
