The President of Barley, Malt, Hops and Beer Union Alexander Mordovin became a member of the Public Council consisting of 36 persons. Competitive selection was performed by the Expert Council of the Government of the RF and the Public Chamber.

“Restart” of public councils is performed under the aegis of the Expert Council of the Government of the RF and the Public Chamber in fulfillment of the President’s Decree No 601 dd. May 7, 2012 “Concerning improvement of the system of the Government control”. By this order, public councils shall carry out public control over the Government authorities.
Functions of the Secretary-General were assigned to the Deputy Minister of Agriculture Elena Astrakhantseva.
The Chairman of the Public Council will be elected within the first meeting among candidates of the Public Chamber and the Expert Council. All candidates shall give a brief program of their activities.
