In June 23, 2017 The Head of the Lipetsk Administration Oleg Korolev opened II Mid-Russian Grain Forum and VII Field Day “Barley, Malt, Hop and Beer of Russia”. Official opening and a banquet have been held in the Conference hall of “Eurasia”, Lenina st., 11, Lipetsk, the field part – on the field of FSBI “All-Russian Research Institute for Rapeseed” and trial plots of LLC “Soufflet Agro Rus”.
Oleg Korolev thanked all representatives of the agricultural industry for fruitful work and told about achievements of the region. “The Lipetsk Region – a small territory but it is famous for production of the Russian steel (17%), Russian sugar (15%), juice (34%) and Russian fridges (more than a third part). It bears noting that last week three new production units have been opened.
The Head of the official delegation from Serbia, the First Deputy and State Secretary of the Minister of Agriculture and Environment Bogdan Igich made a report.
The President of Barley, Malt, Hops and Beer Union Alexander Mordovin read a welcome letter of the Chairman of the Committee for Agrarian Policy and Environmental Management of the Federation Council Mikhail Schetinin and made a presentation “World and Russian malting barley, malt, hop and beer markets”. Presentation is available for members of the Union by request.
General Director of “Soufflet Agro Rus” Nikolas Betrix expressed appreciation to the Heads of the region for successful cooperation and increasing of raw material producers. Oleg Korolev, in his turn, thanked the Management team of “Soufflet” for the development of the modern agro-technologies, new varieties and hybrids, high capacity machines and plant protecting agents. Besides, he guaranteed support of all projects, focused on the creation and development of the territory.
The President of Grain Producers’ Union Pavel Skurikhin handed over Certificate of honors to agricultural producers of the Central Federal District, in particular to the Head of the farm of the Khlevensky district Vladimir Korotkikh.
The following questions concerning the development of the profitable production, grain export, technical modernization, selection and seed growing have been discussed within the forum. Industrial and pilot tests of malting barley and other varieties have been demonstrated and a training seminar, devoted to modern cultivation agro-technologies, has been held within the business event. It was a great chance for communication of agricultural producers, representatives of agro-projects and malt and brewing sales departments.
